You got a point on economy,but I know the U.S. representative of Peugeot[even though not currently imported} and there is a tremendous cadre of enthusiasts who actively support a small but dedicated parts and service industry.

You want a luxurious,economical oddball? how'bout a Citroen turbo diesel wagon?
