I am assuming you have the issue where the dielelectric fluid used to activate the mirror dimming feature at night has leaked out. BTW, it's kinda corrosive, so if any gets on the console, it may mar the finish. But the mirror looks like it's tinted at the bottom and not at the top.

Someone else here posted a thread where they got the MB rep to goodwill a replacement due to the same issue.
