Yes , there is .. you hook up an Oscilloscope and check out the wave shape patterns of the Primary and Secondary ignition circuits..

,, but, if you read my post again, you will note that I recommend just changing the connectors b/c of the PROBABILITY that they may solve your problem...
if you really want to know for sure , build a code reader/scanner and go get codes , then hook up a DSO scope abd do some electronic diagnosis with the proper equipment.
