Greetings,

Please help me identify an what seems to be an electrical connection. Located under the hood on the drivers side wheel well. There is a 6-7 pin rectagular male/female connector. What is the purpose of this connector?
This connector is on a 88' 300e and a '83 300cd. The reason for my concern is that on the 300cd, the male part of the plug is diconnected The car is running fine. Just want to know what this plug is for. Thanks for the help.
