Make sure ALL of the screws in the area are removed. Pull the handle down and work the cable around so it lines up with the slot in the handle then slide it to the side to remove it.

If you are talking about the one WAY up in the hole above your right knee, it is a small torx. Try different sizes, you'll get it. All of the other screws are fairly easy to find and remove.
