I put new ones on both of our cars back around February....4 oil changes later mine are "getting hard", not brittle yet, but getting there, I'll change them in the next change probably. I would say once a year or every 15k miles or something. My oil pressure did not change with them replaced however, real hot its 1.5 bar, normal its 2. Has always been that way.....

The old ones from both cars did shatter into little pieces when I used needle nose pliers at them. I thought they were metal rings originally before I read on here that they were indeed o-rings of rubber!
