My gauge was not reading correctly. I checked the grounds and everything looked good.
I bought the huge combination set of wrenches at Harbor Freight. They were $29.00 up to 2".

After I got the old one out it had back stuff all over it. What is that stuff. The install was easy and successful. My gauge works fine.

I am interested in the different levels of black sludge on the sending unit. Does anyone have any information about what it is?
