No carpet tearing-up required. There is an access panel which is removed. It is directly behind the second row of seats, in front of the seatback for the jump seat. Look for a couple of small screws hidden in the carpet. It's been forever since I did this job, I think there are six screws to remove? Getting the panel out is not a bad job, but some folks have had difficulty locating all the screws.
