Do a search for "wiring harness"

Do a search for throttle actuator or electronic throttle actuator (there are several names for this part. Bottom line is that the same crappy wiring used in the harness's was also used inside of these actuators.

With some luck, there ought to be some codes that you or someone, can pull from it, and give you a fault code. If you're lucky, you have the kind with the little push-button and LED and you can count the flashes and make a more educated guess than just looking at it.
