One last word if I may, IF I knew of a reputable shop that did reputable service EVERY time I took the vehicle in, and IF they did not EVER over charge the consumer and IF they ONLY did the work that is truly necessary, then by all means, take it to the shop. However, 'here in the real world', you take your chances. That is the reason I and several of my friends prefer to do our own work. I assure you, we are not without means to have it done at the shop. We simply prefer the job is done right the first time. Instead of discouraging others about the complexity of a job, I believe in helping by passing on whatever experience or literature at my disposal to share the joy of a DIY job that is well done. Most of the threads that I have seen that discourage others is by those that really don't understand the job themselves. I would encourage all to get a manual, get some tools, check it out! Parts are cheap and service is good here on this forum at FASTLANE. You will probably want to kick yourself after you find out how truly cheap and simple most maintenance really is. Enjoy!!
