I know on a lot of other Forums like Volvo or SAAB, the threads are dry and very short.
The great thing about Mercedes Shop Forums is on any given question, you will get 5 to 15 lengthy answers, vice 1 or 2 on SAAB and Volvo forums. Those forums seem to be totally bonedry and have no personality!
One of the reasons you get so much help on Diesel Discussion is that this forum has a personality and character (Many Characters I should say!) Its a little bit like the Corner Bar, The reason so many people leap in and help you is we all know one another through the years. I have never met Bonehead Doctor, Leathermang, Brian Carlton, or Pete Burton or Anthony Cerami, but I have agood idea of who they are.
If this forum were made purely dry and technicaL, it would dry up and wither like SAABNET or BRICKBOARD. Please leave it the way it is.
