I was rear ended last year but have not had an opportunity to use the defroster till a few days ago. The console light turns on but that seems to be about it. I took off one of the C pillar covers and saw a metal strap coming off the window and screwed into the pillar with a wire leading from that. I assume that is where the connection is on both sides. I am not very electrically inclined but I suppose I will have to break down and get a tester to see if there is power getting to the window. Once I get the tester, what do I do? What am I looking for.

What else am I looking for?
