You know, W126s have a fire hazard. If you don't vacuum out the leaves under the master cylinder, a hot resistor in that trough can cause accumulated leaves to catch fire, and burn. As for wiring, just ask Carrameow, plus these are old cars, the wiring isn't like new. As the gentleman in the previous post stated, emptying a fire extinguisher into the intake of a runaway engine will stop it. Those are all good reasons to carry a fire extinguisher in an old diesel MB.
