on the same thought process, if one is crapping out, does it stand to reason that I should replace both? I have a hard-starting problem and it sometimes won't restart. One or both is humming really loud, which I'm taking as a bad sign. I was quoted $199/pump, roundly $30 per filter, but they are not the same and $2/ for sleeves. And is this a DIY job?
