I sure wouldn't pay $8200 for that car, as described. Not anywhere close. A local dealer has a newer, much lower mileage coupe for which he's been trying to get $12K. I looked at it last time I purchased an older Benz - almost 3 years ago. He still has the car. That should tell you how remote a possibility it is of getting $11K for this one.

The combination of chassis & engines we received in the U.S is different, and more restricted, than in Europe. For example, the 124 coupes used only the 3.0 liter m104 through 1992, then changed to the 3.2 liter m104 for the remaining years. The sedans and wagons used the m103 (mostly 3.0 liter, though we did get a few 2.6 liter sedans) through 1992. In 1993 the sedans and wagons all changed to the m104, mostly the 3.2 liter version. In 1993 only we could get a 2.8 liter m104 in the sedan (of which I have a nice example). The one exception to the m104 changeover is that 4matic cars continued to use the m103.
