Is there a difference between the 126 300SD and the 126 300SDL?

I’ve never done a side by side comparison, but my 84 300SD is a 126 and it looks to be as large as any other 126. I thought the SDL was because of the engine change. And that was the only real difference... other then cosmetic changes that happened to the whole 126 line (wiperd headlights, third break light, rear seat headrests, ect)
