Found the post , doc diesel on sept 7 2005 was attempting an sls transplant , pictures and recommendations would follow after surgery , wow , the plot thickens,just kidding . Doc DEISEL was it a go for the conversion? Did it work to your satisfaction? Im looking into this same fix, do have some help though, a shock specialist who works and deals with subjects ,just like this one ,every day . at a factory, for 26 years. The amount of overhang these cars have over the rear end and weight control needed when loaded ,maybe the key in the balance of a suitable replacement candidate. The sls mercedes system does all of this and i marvel at the engineering put forth , just like to design a new way if at all possible.
