The air filter is not that expensive from other places besides the dealer. I wouldn't pay a premium price for a service part like an air filter. They can be had with less markup elsewhere.

Check your silicone after a few days of driving and if you still have leaks, it may not have been clean enough for the silicone to stick. It sticks REAL WELL if the two surfaces are clean...I used a whole can of brakeclean and multiple cloths to make sure it was pristine before applying the sealant.

If you see goobers that got blown out...try cleaning again
