The mormon church has a lot of good points; the people help each other out quite a lot. It was a pretty good way to grow up, all in all. We had dances for teenagers (16 and up) and young adults, and they were much more enjoyable than our school dances which were weird to me. Sort of a dark, lost energy at those things. Probably a lot of smuggled alcohol, or drinking in the parking lot anyway, and attempted seduction going on there.
As I read JC's words, he wishes to lead us to humility and compassion. Some compassion among Mormons but rather than humility, pride seems to be the norm. Pride in being the only true believers in the eyes of God. Of course, a lot of branches of Christianity are somewhat like that not to mention other religions.
JC said where two or more are gathered in my name..... He didn't say anything about any one exclusive church.
