Sway bar bushings the culprit!

Thanks guys for the sage advice;however, my mechanic suggested the struts and I went along with the program b/c he has 25 years experience. It didn't solve the problem. Granted, the new Bilsteins did improve the ride b/c the rebound on one of the stuts was a little 'bouncy', yet the clunk did not go away til the sway bar bushings were replaced. He only charged parts for the second job. He was a little surprised as well as the bushings looked good and the car only has 60K miles........
