If you do want to illunimate those spots, its easy to do. Go to a wrecking yard and find a broken tail light assembly and get two sockets that match your existing.

Detach any wire for the rear fog light.

Install and wire to your existing brake light wire in each housing. Pop in a bulb and you have extra illuminated brake lights.
