#4 is my choice. If one insists on wearing fur, like that goof on that picture, there are brushed cotton and faux fur alternatives. I do believe they are also cheaper, so there's an incentive. But there are still too many people who insist on wearing genuine fur and they don't mind paying a premium for it.
I just don't see the point.
