Solid tappets are like solid lifters in the American V8's. They give the valvetrain more accurate valve timing for better performance. Mercedes went with hydraulic tappets because they don't require periodic adjustments like solid tappets do. Could anyone here supply me a drawing of how the Brabus retrofit to the rockers works? I am very interested in making this modification on my turbo M103. I have seen pics of the lock nut and set screw but I don't know what they have in place of the hydraulic unit. If these parts are still available from Brabus, who would I contact?
Thanks!
Adam
