you can find very nice rockports.. i also have a pair of Brown Shoes that are even better fitting then any other.. now, if you're going for the highest end go with leather sole otherwise you can't tell what they cost.. i wouldn't sweat it..
clean shave, white shirt and a nice tie is what makes the difference.. if the interviewer is looking at your shoes.. he ain't looking you in the eye and i would probably avoid working for them anyway since they aren't judging you for you mind but for what you wear..
