can you check your shift linkage?
Also, when was the tranny fluid replaced last.

I checked the driveshaft and axles and they are fine. I replaced the axles and differential seals less than 5K ago. The shift linkage looks fine. Everything is still connected.
I must admit that I don't know when the tranny fluid was last changed. It was on my to do list.
What I don't get is that as I am pulling out of the parking lot after I had backed out of my space and drove to the exit of the lot it was fine. When I went to pull into traffic, (I had plenty of room, so I wasn't accelerating hard) the car just stopped going. Now, when I put it in gear with the engine running, it does not go, and when I try to put it back into park I hear a sound like the parking pawl trying to engage.
Has anyone experienced this? I have a natural phobia of transmission shops. I have been ripped off before. Has anyone rebuilt a 722.315 tranny? I saw a post where a guy rebuilt his own, and emailed him, but haven't heard back.
