Engine area space/Air filter

Hi all. I am going to do a veggie conversion soon and I think I don't have enough room in the engine compartment for my coolant veggie oil heater. I might remove the factory air filter which will open up gobs of room for my veggie oil heater aparatus and other things. I have searched and read about filters and I know the pros and cons of going with a non-factory air filter setup but my main question is what to do for crankcase ventilation. I have a fair ammount of blowby and I need to have a catch can or something else to keep the oil contained. I love the factory oil separator and it works good but is there something aftermarket that would work as good? I am right on the fence, though, do I re-engineer the coolant heater to fit somewhere else or go with an aftermarket filter (K&N?) to free up space where I want? I will need to spend a few dollars either way I know. Thanks, Eric.
