I know several people using Nextalarm; all are quite satisfied.

I'm in the process of switching my Monitronics system over the Nextalarm. The alarm hasn't been cooperating particularly well. I could definately be more aggressive in getting it done. Nextalarm has always responded to my calls and service tickets within a few hours - no complaints there.

Try calling your current provider and demanding a better rate. When I contacted Monitronics to cancel, they offered to drop my rate $29 -> $12 / month (with a three year contact). Quite a drop.

I declined because Nextalarm is $8.95. Should note the _only_ thing I care about is the insurance discount. Burgler alarms, are, IMHO worse than completely useless. The false alarm rate is greater than 99%. Can you think of anything else you'd put up with that worked so poorly?
