Thanks for the reply. I'll start on it this week. The 4matic is now working but there's little heat without the blower motor.

I have a lot of experince wrenching on cars and airplanes, but none on MBs. I'm a little hesitant to work on the MBs, but I'm hopeful this forum will help.
