This one of the easiest DIY repairs I know of. Remove the window regulator you will see a the plastic (jaw) is probably broken. Grind off the bradded part of the rivet holding the jaw and just remove it. The new part comes with the new rivet and you just hammer the rivet to secure it. Put it back together and you're done. Sounds like both sides need the same repair.
