Hey guys, just picked up this rig and don't really know what's going on with the vacuum hose mess.

Here are the facts
78 Mercedes 300d Non-Turbo - 155k, trans shifts smooth

I've got a mess under the hood as far as the vacuum hoses that come out of the firewall. First off, i've got to hoses plugged with golf tees. Another "y" connector that leads to no where.

Large cluster from firewall includes the following;

Thick black cable

green/yellow \
yellow/white : ---- This "y" cluster goes to nothing
yellow /

brown/blue ----- Injector pump

golf tee --\
brown ---------- this "y" connector goes to brake booster
golf tee --/

Never mind the "spicket" apparatus. Not sure why it is there but it's not malfunctioning so it's cool for now. Which one is the vacuum pump? There is a port (male fitting) on top of the fuel injector unit that looks the same diameter as these vacuum lines but has nothing going to it.

Check out the photo. I tried to label as well as i could. Left side is towards the front of the car.
