have been doing some diagnostic work on the merc, have disconnected the fuel lines from the pump/distributor and tried to blow down each of them - to no avail. Thus leading me to believe there is a block in the line somewhere (unless of course i'm blowing against a valve of some kind?) Got the car running and ticking over nicely whilst pouring petrol down the intake, however once the fuel had been burned, it died

Any advice on unblocking the lines? If that is the problem of course, also, we checked the fuel pump next to the tank, it is filling with fuel but not kicking it through (probably the blocked lines!) Could be a possible lack of pressure from the pump?
