Then why didn't you just say "let's go" right then? When she shows you a crack in the door, that's when you walk through, rather than doing something that now seems out of character and forced, like asking her out on a date for Saturday night. Think 'spur of the moment' rather than planned. Oh, and stay in your comfort zone, which doesn't appear to include dancing.
