Freeze-12 is a blend of R134A(80%) and R142B(20%). With that said, one would wonder why not just move to R134A?

Freeze-12 also requires a special tap to install. The supplier of the product(somewhere in Calif) gets about $20-$25 for the special tap. After you do all of the math, the cost isn't justified. If you want R-12 efficiency, stay with R-12. I've read good and bad about Freeze-12.
