I am confident that my local dealer can fix anything that I need them to on my W126's. But then why bother driving old cars? At $90 an hour stuff adds up fast. I can lease an E350 for $600 a month. Surely if I were to take my car to the dealer for everything I would be way over that figure.

I'll say it again if you want to own an old MB you should view it as a hobby and do most if not all of the required work yoruself. If you are not inclined to get your hands dirty and need a reliable car I hate to say it but buy a newer one.
