We essentially discussed this subject in school and came to a common conclusion that some people are more fruitful to society staying here and bettering themselves. I'm not saying that I am a mastermind but I am more "school smart" than regular people at my college (Highest Honors currently >3.85 gpa). It's sort of like sending Einstein to fight hand to hand combat when he can be here improving society. Now, don't shoot the messenger, just stating what my professor said about what type of people should join the military. I don't necessarily agree since I have known many intellectual people that are currently serving.
