Need Some help and comments needed on a proposed engine swap as follows .

My 1982 500SL needs a new engine ( excessive oil use ) and I have the opportunity to drop in a 1992 560SEC engine and 4 speed box with overdrive ( 80,000KM ) or completly reco my 500SL engine .

Both Euro vehicles.

Cost of project is not the issue here, so your comments would be appreciated .
