I'm considering doing some suspension work on my 107 SLC and need to remove my springs. What type of spring compressor is reccomended? I see on ebay the model j-1801 for mercedes, but doesn't appear to be for the 107 and costs quite a bit. Could I get by safely using a generic version that works with clamping hooks? Thanks
