I got the headliner down with no problem. There is a wire that goes thru the back of headliner and you just pull on it towards the rear of vehicle and release it from the metal tabs that hold it in.

Not sure about pinch points, everything is in there pretty tight and in close quarters. You'll probably have to remove part of headliner to get in there and look.
