You need to see if you can get assistance from MB as the repair is to replace the cluster. I have talked about the problem that occurs with a rebuilder that does MB dashes and controllers and the problem is an undercapacity power supply for the florescent lighting. Not only is is under designed but it is as good as there exists in the space that was allowed. This has kept him from repairing them as what is available for the size would probably not last.

MB has changed the part numbers and increased the price by 50% (last one I checked was $3,000 or so). The car was out of warrantee by miles but not time and MB took care of it after I suggested to my customer to go back to the dealer for it.
