Just took my 82 300TD for NJ inspection and it failed the suslension test. Results stated "front suspension - excessive side to side variation. consider damper replacement" also "right wheel - passed, left wheel - check for broken or loose components. recommend damper replacement".

Anybody have some guidance on best way to identify and eliminate these problems?
