I picked up a 1980 500SE for free from a friend. It's a one owner car with 80K miles. Here's the problem, it won't run and we can't figure out why.

If gas is poured into the carb, then the car runs like a dream. We figure it might need a new fuel pump or filter. Anyone have any ideas on what it could be?
