Just when I had gotten the window almost high enough to grip it with my hands,,,, crack. The Entire window shattered. Luckily these are the double pained windows and it stayed intact (you cannot see through it, but it's intact). Upon a recent trip to a dealer I was informed they could do the whole job for the insignificant total of $1,100. Has anyone replaced the window/regulator on this model. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I hate to admit this, but I came very close to doing the same thing(it was raining), but I was able to grab the window and push it up manually before I met the same fate. I shimmed the window closed until I got a new regulator installed. You should be able to find the glass at a dismantler and the regulator is about 125 here on Mercedesshop. At any rate, should be less than 500 total with labor... Good luck!
