I agree with Al,
Try a fluid change first. The vacuum more controls the timing and "smoothness" of the shifts. If it is slipping I would tend to think it is more of an internal problem. Anyone want to back me up on this?
By the way, where did you find a 190D with 114k miles??? I'm insanely jealous! Sell it to me and I'll stick a 5-spd in it faster than you can say "clutch pedal"!

P.S. I think I have an auto tranny out of a 190d 2.5 that should fit your car. If you get down in the Raleigh, NC area, look me up.
