You'll need a special tool for removing the fan on that model. There's an allen bolt that holds the fan to the pulley and not much room to access it. There are special tools for holding the pulley from behind, and a special tool for loosening the bolt. It's a pain in the butt if you've never done it before. Other than that, I'd say it's pretty straight forward. I'd suggest replacing the drive belt while you're in there and flushing the coolant. Refill with MB fluid. Be very careful of your wiring harness if it hasn't been replaced already. Usually just touching the thing will give you problems. That year is notorious for becoming brittle and cracking. Probably a good idea to replace sometime soon. About 500 bucks if i'm not mistaken. Hope this helps.
