Quick thermostat question ...

2000 C230 K
51k

Hi friends -

Am heading to the mechanic tomorrow to have new anti-freeze and brake fluid put in. Just a quick ? regarding the thermostat. At normal highway speeds, the temperature gauge is exactly on 80. It sometimes rises slightly, but usually never above 85. It warms up relatively quickly when starting out cold. Is this a good operating temperature, or should I have them replace the thermostat for good measure? It seems that my 190E ran a little warmer than this, but I'm not sure of "optimal" running temperature for the C230.

Many thanks for your assistance,
Michael
