I have 99 E320. Lighting mediocre. So I got Taiwan clear, non-fluted halogen.
Lighting was poor...dimmer, and had segmented beams out of the same lamp.
Due, no doubt, to poor R&D, poor projector lens and reflector. So I went and
purchased Sylvania Silverstar. slight improvement bot not really. Then I bought
Philips Blue Vision. noticeably better but still so-so.

Heated the Depo housing in oven and yanked the H7 projector out of there.
Got my hands on MB E55 bixenon projector and grafted it to the Depo.

Ohmygosh, we got light! Beautiful bright light. On high beam setting, the
bixenon shutter swings open to reveal full beam (vs low beam which covers
half of the beam). In addition the factory H7 high beam also comes on and
that help a bit as well.

I can almost help guide aircraft to land. HID is the way to go. Do *not*
recommend HID kits which are designed to fit into your H7 sockets and H7
designed projector and reflector. You must use HID designed projector for
HID to function properly and w/o uncontrolled glare.
