my car exhibited massive shifting irregularities, which the dealer liberally used Starmark to fix. I actually had a broken screw where the shift rod meets teh trans which was causing my shift lever to move ever-so-slightly away froma firm seating in the D gate. It caused delayed upshifts, skipped shifts, hard shifts, you name it. Before this was fixed, though, I did get a new TCM, but mine was clearly a hardware failure. Lotta pieces to the 722.6 puzzle.

Since the car went out of warranty, I've had on 2 occasions this winter, when car was cold, a situation where it would not upshift unless I stopped and started off again. My suspicion is a stickign valve in the valve body, and that's party because everything else vital has been replaced under warranty.
