The '+30' bulbs like the Philips premium or vision plus don't seem to run any hotter that I can tell - they are the same wattage but have the filament repositioned for more usable light on the road. The blue bulbs put out LESS light (yellow wavelengths removed). Get the Philips or Hella Premium '+30' in this country at

http://www.fosmo.com/ . Good luck ( I have been running the +30s with no problem for a year now).
