My newly purchased 1993 300E 3.2 with 90,000 miles started making an unusual sound. After idling for a long time in traffic, upon acceleration it makes a "whirling" sound. No sound in neutral. The transmission fluid was replaced a few months before I got it. Other than a hard shift from 3 to 4 when cold, no problems. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks.
