How much did you pay for the car? Those prices seem way high to me. When I was rear-ended, my '85, with about 165k was valued at $3700. That was a heck of a deal for me because I only paid $2500 for it. Sorry to hear about your loss. Maybe if the engine's good you could do like I'm doing and find a good body to swap it into.
